Dr. Brian Lockyer was born and raised in Dryden, Ontario. He attended the University of Waterloo for Honours Science and graduated with his Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree in 1979. Dr. Brian Lockyer has served in leadership roles on the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) for 16 years, including time as president, on the board of directors and on the executive council. He has also been involved in the clinical externship for optometry students for the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry as well as Opticianry students from Georgian College. Dr. Brian Lockyer has served on the Dryden Regional Health Centre (DRHC) Board of Directors, including time as director and chairperson and had been involved in the Dryden Ski Club executive for over 30 years. He enjoys hunting, fishing, cycling and skiing. He and his wife Catherine, have three children and three grandchildren.
Dr. Suzanne Lockyer was born and raised in Dryden. Following graduation from Dryden High School, she obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 2011. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2015. As part of her training, Dr. Suzanne Lockyer completed rotations in Chicago, throughout Massachusetts and a Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Vermont. Dr. Suzanne Lockyer is a member of the Dryden Area Young Professionals Network. She enjoys travelling, yoga and meeting new people.
